The Yellow Deli - Mobile: Reviews & Ratings
Great first experience here. Quaint interior. It feels very homely. The food tastes very good with lots of flavor. They have a general store inside with lots of options of fresh products. You get the feeling they care about the quality of products they produce and serve. I got the Cajun sandwich and sweet tea. Very happy with my selection. I also go some pepper jelly and sliced mangos from the store. I’ll def be back!
Come here and enjoy the scenery, food and magnificent service!! Muffanotta and Reuben sandwiches were amazing! The root beer is on tap and poured into frosted mug. Highly recommend!!!
As an avid lover of the Yellow Deli in Chattanooga, I was so excited to see a Mobile, AL location since I’ve relocated to Louisiana. The food is always amazing! I love the sweet tea! My boyfriend loved the fresh root beer on tap. The market is huge with lots of great finds. You can’t beat the hospitality of the friendly workers.
Wonderful experience and the food was awesome! I had the Muffonatta, and everything about it was delicious, the bread was amazing. We went to the store after we finished eating and grabbed some eggs, sourdough, and bath products. They use all natural ingredients. We will be back for a second visit!
A unique shop with attentive hosts. The cole slaw was different from most cole slaw, less liquid so the veggies are more of the flavor. The attached store has reasonable prices, if I told you the price of eggs it might get mobbed.
A fantastic group of people work here. Customer service is top tier. Discovered Yerba Mate here and now it’s a staple every time I come. Food is great, going to try and make it through every menu item.
The bread! Onion roll, heritage roll, egg roll (bun), sourdough, light eye, and rice bread (Gluten free! Made with rice and buckwheat) are all made fresh, in-house. Convenient counter service (and I got a few sandwiches for folks back at the office). They seemed well staffed and it wasn't busy, as I got there early, so the food came out quickly for us and everyone else. I had the Deli Rose and it was amazing. My friends had the Cajun and the Reuben which they said were great, they would not share, so I believe them! Sandwiches come with a pickle spear, and chips or slaw. The slaw isn't too vinegary or too sweet, I thought it was just right, and a generous portion. One of my companions swears a dash of black pepper makes it so much better, but I ate it as the chef intended, and it was delicious. They have a few salad options, waffles, breakfast sandwiches, and you can build your own sandwich with a nice variety of ingredients. They have hot and cold teas, lattes, real fruit smoothies, and root beer on tap (canned and bottled drink options in the store too). The staff are very friendly and happy to explain the menu. I didn't see a kid's menu, and the sandwiches are not small. The shop has breads, honeys and syrups (the maple syrup is from their trees in Vermont), a couple of butters and cheeses, drinks, snacks (with samples ), pastas, teas, and skincare & healthcare products. All at reasonable prices. They are part of the Twelve Tribes, with communities, cafes, bakeries, markets, farms & orchards, and of course delis all around the world.
This is my second time visiting Yellow Deli. It’s a very unique place. It has a store inside the restaurant that you can buy tea and other products. When I first went to Yellow Deli I tried the Deli Rose. It was really good. There was a sauce on the sandwich that had a kick in it that made the sandwich taste delicious. This time I had the Cajun. It did not disappoint at all. I also bought a Hibiscus drink that was really refreshing. I also want to say the people at the restaurant are very nice.
